Formerly known as "Roccatura Silvana di Uboldi Silvana" (sole proprietorship), Il Filo di Silvana was originally founded in 1988. Up to 2001, the company operated as a third party contractor foryarn unwinding and cone-winding processes. During this long period, the company was able to acquirein-depth knowledge on dyed yarns for the hosiery and weaving industry.
But the real turning point came with the decision to focus on yarn stock service, setting up a warehouse equipped with dyed yarns of different types and colors. A winning choice thanks to which we are now able to fulfill customers' requests, dispatching orders within 24-48 hours,a service which is still making our company stand out in the stock yarn market.
For a few years now, we have been promoting the culture of organic cotton and organic yarns: an environmental awareness which is also attested by the achievement of the GOTS certification
Il Filo di Silvana carries out, either directly or through partners, all those processes which are essential to create high-quality yarns. Upon customer request, we can also dye sample colors in 3-4 days.
